Colleen Gallo was born and raised in Alberta, Canada. At a very young age she started sketching various artworks, and won several Art awards. It wasn’t until later in life, and after a trip to Italy, that she pursued painting.
After viewing the work of her favourite Artist Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel, Rome, various Artists in the Uffizi Gallery of Florence, and Art throughout the churches of Italy, she became instantly inspired and motivated to resume her Art. She later said, “After having the privilege of viewing the works of the Italian Masters, it was like something touched my soul.”
Back home, in Edmonton, Alberta - she immediately enrolled in classes at the University Of Alberta, and studied under the supervision of Izabella Orzelski.
New to painting, her greatest influences are the style of light on dark, and techniques of the Italian Artists. She enjoys painting images that are powerful, thought provoking, fun, and different. She admits her paintings have a lot of herself, or someone she knows in them, and always tell a story. Gallo’s paintings are held by numerous collectors.

A talented artist - she loves to create the unknown with paint and passion!
